Nasrin binh Ahmet is a proud member of Troupe Ahmet hailing from Yedlihmad. Though the last of her group, she still carries their name with pride. Trained as a dancer and musician, Nasrin has a range of skills that helps her dazzle and amaze her audience. Though fond of performing all over, she also wanted an establishment of her own where she could perform and share her culture with others. As a result, she built Nasrin's Rest with the help of her partner Khulan of the Angura.Her time as the camp cook for her traveling troupe has given her the ability to offer a variety of dishes at her little meyhane. Beyond that, she's also taught herself a few drinks that bring a taste of the Near East to the Far East. After a fortuitous meeting with the High Radiant, Indrajit Devanandan, she was able to work in a chef's kitchen in Radz-at-Han to further improve her cooking and even add a new dish to her menu.

Liliana is an unusual individual. Hailing from the Azim Steppe and claiming to be a former member of the Bayaqud tribe, much of her past is left shrouded in mystery. Contrary to that mystery, she's a friendly and personable person, willing to talk with and listen to pretty much anyone. She also has a love of spices that many might consider a bit extreme, carrying around a bottle of the infamous Yedlihmad Pit Viper wherever she goes to share with others.She started visiting the meyhane as a regular and friend of Nasrin's, but was more than happy to offer her services as a budding mixologist when asked to help one day. She is just happy to share her creations with any brave enough to try them, though she has recently been showing interest in learning how to cook many of the meyhane's dishes as well.

Rules

  • This is an 18+ SFW RP venue. Any public NSFW conduct will result in being barred from the premises for 10 days. Being flirty and a little naughty is fine but if it's getting heated then please move to party chat/tells. We understand accidents can happen, so they will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.

  • Treat this place like any public place. Respect the space, and be conducive to the environment it is trying to foster. Should your conduct start getting out of hand, you will be warned via tell once. Continue the disruptive behavior, and you will be barred from the premises for 10 days.

  • Nasrin's Rest has a no weapons policy so please stow your weapons before entering! No minions as well - thank you!

  • This venue is pretty lore compliant, but some bending is okay. Just a regular meyhane with regular(ish) folk.

  • Regarding Spoilers: Both Nasrin's backstory and some of the patrons' are EW heavy. That being said, spoilers will try to be kept to a minimum.

Starters

  • Fish Pakora || This appetizer is made of perfectly spiced and flavored fish fritters using fresh, local white fish. Comes with a cilantro chutney for dipping.

  • Hamsa Pakora || Hamsa spiced with turmeric, red chili powder, garam masala, and other Thavnairian spices that is then battered and fried. Comes with tangy red pakora sauce for dipping!

  • Kanda Bhaji || You like onions? This Thavnairian appetizer is made of thinly sliced onions made into a fritter using corn and gram flour. With spices including chili, coriander, cumin, and ginger, this dish is sure to delight! Choice of chilli sauce or coriander raita for dipping.

  • Aloo Samosa || Fried triangular and flaky pastry filled with spicy popoto masala and Thavnairian spices.

From Our Tandoor

Delightful Thavnairian classics fresh from our tandoor.

  • Naan || A staple in Thavnair, this leavened flatbread is baked nightly and is always fresh. Characterized by its light and fluffy texture, it comes with either our lemon yogurt, raita, or garlic dip.

  • Lamb Tikka || We take lamb that's been marinating for about three suns in spices including garam masala, red chili paste, ginger garlic paste, and cumin and grill it in our tandoor. Once crisp and nicely browned, it's served with naan and accoutrements such as cucumber, sliced onion, whole green chili, and a raita.

  • Tandoori Hamsa || Hamsa marinated overnight and grilled in our woodfire tandoor. As it cooks, the juices drips down and helps to release a smokey flavor. The resulting char grilled hamsa is tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. Served with mint chutney and turmeric rice.

  • Meatless Skewer || Two skewers of onion, tomato, broccoli, and mushroom grilled in our tandoor. Seasoned with spices including turmeric and our signature garam masala, it is then served with naan and tarka dahl.

Entrees

  • Yedlihmad Masala Dosa || A crispy crepe made of fermented rice and lentil batter. It's stuffed with popoto masala and served hot with coconut chutney. Is it a breakfast dish? Who cares! Just have it anytime!

  • Lemon Pepper Fish || A simple but flavorful dish made from fish marinated in lemon juice, tumeric, chili powder, and salt. Seasoned with black pepper and fennel and then fried, it is then served with grilled vegetables and basmati rice.

  • Palak Paneer || A vegetarian dish made of Thavnairian cheese and a smooth, creamy spinach gravy. Comes with basmati rice or freshly baked naan.

  • Murgh Makhani || A type of Thavnairian curry made from chicken, spiced tomatoes, and a butter sauce (makhan). Its rich texture is truly divine! For the heat averse, this dish is nice and mild. Served with basmati rice or freshly baked naan.

  • Beef Vindaloo || A spicy beef curry made with a variety of spices including Palaka Chili. The beef itself is marinated in a mixture of vinegar, garlic paste, ginger paste, yogurt, salt, and peppers. Comes with basmati rice or naan! Ask for the vengeance version for an extra kick and a fun challenge! Don’t die!

  • Rogan Josh || A Thavnairian lamb dish with a heady combination of intense spices in a creamy curry sauce. Popular with the nobility of Radz-at-Han, the lamb is fall apart tender and is bursting with flavour. Served with saffron rice.

Ask about our dessert of the day! It always changes since I'm never sure what to make until the day of. It's like a surprise! Even to me!

  • Nasrin's Chai || Just the way her mother taught her! This milky, Near Eastern tea is a combination of cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, and other spices. It's then sweetened with jaggery. It’s a hug in a mug!

  • Thavnairian Kaapi || This traditional Thavnairian filter coffee is made with finely ground beans and chicory. With honey added as a sweetener, the flavor of this cup of coffee is unique to Thavnair.

  • Ahmet's Masala Doodh || A favorite of Nasrin's troupe leader (Sisters guide his soul), this milk based drink is made with nuts, cardamom, and other spices then sweetened with sugar. A non-caffeinated warm alternative to a morning cup of coffee.

  • Fruit Juice || Freshly squeezed and chilled for your enjoyment. This morning's assortment include orange, apple, rolanberry, and mango.

  • Yedlihmad Masala Dosa || A crispy crepe made of feremented rice and lentil batter. It's stuffed with popoto masala and served hot with coconut chutney.

  • Mooli Paratha || Whole wheat flatbread with a spiced raddish filling. Often enjoyed hot with a side of chai. A light and healthy start to your day.

  • Poori || Dough discs fried to perfection until a little crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Served with a side of chana masala which is made up of chickpeas, onions, tomatoes, and spices.

  • Idli || A soft and fluffy steamed cake made of fermented rice and lentil batter. Perfect for a light breakfast, this dish is served with either a tomato chutney or tiffin sambar.

  • Handvo || A carb and protein rich breakfast made from fermented rice and lentil batter then filled with the goodness of fresh vegetables, hot chili, and tempered spices.
